Michael would like to bring to your attention a new production of WTC VIEW that’s coming to Off-Broadway.  He was in the original production and the film of it, and loves it very much.

Michael will be hosting a Benefit for Live Out Loud at TheTimesCenter on Monday, April 25th, 2011 between 6:00 – 9:00pm. Click here for more information.

On April 11th, Michael will be participating in a reading of Ring Round the Moon as a benefit for The Acting Company.

On April 4th, Michael will be participating in a benefit reading of The Forgotten Woman with Michael Rupert. The event will take place at 7:30 PM at the Brandeis House in Manhattan.

Interview has released a wonderful interview with Michael. In it, he discusses “Angels in America,” juicing, and more! Read the full interview here.

Here’s a small sample from the interview:

“BELLIKOFF: Not just because you’re joining it in the middle of this specific run, but because the play itself is so iconic, are you approaching the part differently than you would an original role?

URIE:  With roles that are so deep, like in this play, you have to bring so much of yourself to it that I can’t see two actors doing the same version. If you’re going to go there, you have to use yourself, and then it’s immediately going to become different. So while I get to steal a lot of Christian’s really good ideas and great choices, even doing an idea that came from him will come out my own way and be a little bit different. But it is tricky. Both times I’ve replaced someone, I have replaced people that were giving phenomenal performances.“

Tonight, Michael opens part two of “Angels In America” with the Signature Theatre Off-Broadway. He opened part one on Tuesday.

Michael is currently staying busy as he rehearses “Angels In America” with the Signature Theatre Off-Broadway.
